The Context of Poverty

Project Description

This course was developed for new human services professionals who need context and support to work effectively with clients who are living in poverty. These professionals often focus on immediate needs when a client is in crisis and miss the broader picture of root client issues.

Learning Alchemy developed the course content to include relevant case examples. These examples support learners to apply the information directly to their work with clients. The course includes a combination of descriptive images, text and narration to support comprehension of complex topics. A workbook is included with exercises integrated throughout the course. The exercises support deeper reflection on the case examples and help the learner transfer the skills and information to work with their own clients.
